TOUR OF SCOTLAND
31 May - 7 June 2008

SATURDAY 31/5. Depart Prestwick airport hotel by 09.30am (and Glasgow - main airport - hotel by 10.30am). Drive through Argyle and stunning lochside scenery to KILMARTIN for lunch and sacred sites of ancient neolithic remains in this powerful cradle of early civilization. To view impressive burial chambers in the ancient kingdom of Dalriada, where early Scots kings were crowned. There is an award winning visitor centre with coffee shop for lunch. Continue on the beautiful west coast route to the busy port of OBAN - capital of the West Highlands - for 2 nights.

SUNDAY 1/6. Full day excursion to the islands of Mull and Iona of ancient legend and walk outside Duart Castle.

MONDAY 2/6 Drive from Oban north along the spectacular coastal road past Ben Nevis (UK's largest mountain) via Fort William with lunch and shopping en route. Continue on the beautiful "Road to the Isles" for the ferry from Mallaig "over the sea to Skye"! We overnight in picturesque Portree, capital of the Isle of Skye.

TUESDAY 3/6 Morning ferry from Uig (Skye) to TARBERT (Isle of Harris). Afternoon visit sacred sites at the famous CALLANISH Standing Stones known as the "Stonehenge of the North". Visit Carloway Broch neolithic fortified homestead and other local ancient places of interest. Then continue to Stornoway for overnight.

WEDNESDAY 4/6 Early ferry to ULLAPOOL (mainland). Visit world famous subtropical INVEREWE GARDENS - at their best in Springtime with famous shrub collection! Even Palm trees grow here because of the warm gulf stream water. Drive through wonderful scenery across wild, northern Scotland to INVERNESS for overnight stay.

THURSDAY 5/6. Morning visit to the ancient and atmospheric Clava Cairns "Passage tomb" ancient burial and initiation site. Then on to FINDHORN - internationally renowned Nature Centre where a pioneering vegetable garden was made in cooperation with the Devic and Elementals kingdoms! PM scenic drive through the dramatic CAIRNGORM mountains to Fortingall in Perthshire for 2 nights. FRIDAY 6/6 Full day on local powersites (stone circles, waterfalls and standing stones) around the isolated and beautiful Glen Lyon and sacred Schiehallion with Barry and his partner Theresa. Farewell dinner in our hotel.

SATURDAY 7/6 Drive either to the enigmatic ROSSLYN (MASONIC) CHAPEL - now famous after the DaVinci Code bestseller! Afternoon drop off at Edinburgh and Prestwick airports.

PRICE: £600.00 per person in twin shared accommodation includes Bed and Breakfast.
Transport and guiding included, but any entrance fees and main meals are extra. Single supplement £200.00 (limited)
